对于林欣来说，在日本最初的那三个月是漫长难挨的。那之后，在每天的忙忙碌碌里，日子就像飞一样地过来了。转眼又到了年末。
感受着街头巷尾日益浓郁起来的年末气氛，林欣想：去年的此时，自己还在备考大学院；而今年，自己已经在酝酿毕业论文了！这种踏实的进步，让她很开心。
今天是最后一次藤田ゼミ，ゼミ过后大家要去居酒屋开≈ap;ldo;忘年会≈ap;rdo;。
去往学校的电车上，安妮告诉林欣：john 要回国了。

等这番闹剧终于结束了，藤田教授评论了一些最近发生的国内外大事。当然，他着重谈了上个月底的江泽民访日sup注/supsup1/sup。

一向开明的藤田教授对江泽民访日又会持怎样的看法呢？林欣目不转睛地盯着藤田教授的脸，不想漏掉任何一个字。
藤田教授看了看在座的五个学生，缓缓地开了口：≈ap;ldo;大家一定知道，天皇陛下是我们日本的象征。对天皇陛下不敬，就是对我们日本这个国家的不敬。≈ap;rdo;他的语气还是一贯的温文尔雅，可是脸上却没有以往的笑容。
≈ap;ldo;这次江泽民作为中国的最高元首第一次访问日本，我们日本方面给予了最隆重的礼遇。这代表我们日本对于中国这个国家的尊重。于此相对，江泽民先生（江沢民氏）却对作为我们国家象征的天皇陛下如此无礼，而且这是发生在我们日本的国土上，这是非常令人遗憾的！≈ap;rdo;
藤田教授严厉的目光扫过在场的每一个人，林欣觉得自己的身体在燃烧。

≈ap;ldo;大家可能不会忘记:就在两年前，在台湾进行总统民选之际，中国在台湾海峡进行了导弹演习。而今年六月，克林顿总统访问中国的时候，也就中国的人权问题警告了中方。这次江泽民来访对于天皇陛下的不敬，给我们又一次敲响了警钟。作为一个积极发展军事力量的独裁政权，我们做新闻工作的，有责任予以舆论上的监督≈ap;hellip;≈ap;hellip;≈ap;rdo;
去忘年会的路上,安妮和林欣并肩走在其他四个人之后。

藤田老师很温和地看着她，微笑着说：≈ap;ldo;是美国人的开明！当时美国军方对日本记者的所有采访都大开绿灯，几乎没有任何限制！这在日本是不可能做到的。美国之所以成为美国，美国人之所以在世界各地都比较受欢迎，还是有原因的，不仅仅因为美国的国力强大。相比之下，日本虽然是世界第二大经济强国，可日本人就不那么受欢迎。这和国民性有关。当然，美国人在二战后进驻日本期间，ghq（連軍総司令部）也做了不少奇怪（おかしい）的事，比如不许日本小学校学生学习书法等等，但是整体上来说，美国人的热情、开朗、幽默这些性格是很有魅力的！≈ap;rdo;
