题记：这是一个普普通通的中国女孩子在九十年代末期留学日本时发生的故事。

东京。
进入三月中旬，天气一天天地暖和起来。越来越多的日子可以看见碧蓝的天。几乎是一夜之间，东京千树万树的樱花开了，整个城市仿佛是被粉色的云雾笼罩着，说不出的浪漫和美丽。在上野公園、千鳥之淵、隅田川这些赏樱花的著名景点，人们成群结队地在樱花树下铺上彩色塑料布，一面赏花，一面吃着各色美味的便当。商店里出售专门的花見弁当（赏樱花时吃的便当）。花見弁当里的食物做成樱花模样，精巧得让人只舍得看。电视新闻里天天都桜前線（根据日本各地樱花开花预想日期连成的线）的消息。樱花的花期不过两周左右的时间，是名副其实的≈ap;ldo;转瞬即逝≈ap;rdo;。
林欣和安妮都记着去年的约定，在开学前的三月底，带着从 seven eleven 买的便当，到土手去赏樱花。
≈ap;ldo;真美啊！≈ap;rdo;两人同声赞叹着。许多人拿着相机在拍照。安妮是最喜欢照相的，她此刻当然也拍个不停。林欣则更愿意把美丽的一切留在记忆里。
≈ap;ldo;你发现没有，樱花单独看起来其实很普通。≈ap;rdo;安妮照完了一个特写，感慨道。
林欣听了她的话，仔细去看那单独的花。还真是！淡淡的颜色，小小的花瓣，没有一点出色的地方。可是成千上万的花聚在一起却美得那么有气势！林欣觉得自己未来两年的日子也应该像这樱花一样。一天天平淡的日子，聚集起来就是未来值得收藏起来的回忆。
在这美丽的花季，有一个美丽的开始，林欣恨不得伸开双臂，去拥抱那无数个美丽的明天。她是这样快乐，就连开学那天山田教授阴阳怪气地对她说：≈ap;ldo;连你也考上了！≈ap;rdo;，林欣竟也泰然处之。不管山田教授多么无礼，不管四方教授多么可怕，也不管武市教授多么冷淡，她未来两年的大学院生活都会像这樱花一样美丽。
她一口气拿到了两个奖学金：新入生奖学金基本上免掉了她的学费，而一个月七万日元的外国私费留学生奖学金让她的生活费也基本没问题了。她于是减少了在カンカル打工的时间，只在周六和特别忙的日子去上班。店长多少有点不高兴。林欣看在眼里不安着，却又无可奈何。
来东京一年了，她竟然没有好好看过这座活色生香的城市。于是当安妮约她周日下午去银座的时候，她毫不犹豫地答应了。
以前一直听说银座是买名牌货的地方。没想到银座也是这么有趣的一个地方，有许多别致的画廊。
她们依照着安妮从駒場留学生会館拿的广告，去看了酒井弘子的画。她展出的作品并不多，但是每一幅都很精致，题材是各种花。林欣喜欢那素淡的颜色，那细腻的女性特质。尤其是其中的一幅樱花。画面全是素雅的淡紫粉色，若隐若现、朦朦胧胧的，表现樱花是再适不过的了。林欣想：如果将来学画画，就要画这种风格。
看完了酒井弘子的画，眼尖的安妮又发现了不远一处画廊里浦田周作的画展。他的风格很像林欣喜欢的浮世绘。见到安妮和林欣进来，浦田周作马上走过来，热心地给她们介绍。 ≈ap;ldo;热心≈ap;rdo;这个字眼儿让人想起笑容满面，而他却是一丝笑容也没有。可是林欣还是能感到他对于日本画的那种无比的自豪。他画的多是他的故乡---静岡県富士山脚下的人物、特产和风景。林欣听着浦田周作讲他的画，不知怎的想到了店长。一个人无论从事什么职业，只要有这种热情，一定会是很幸福的事吧。
末了林欣买了他两张明信片。一张画的是静岡県島田市大井川上的≈ap;ldo;蓬莱桥≈ap;rdo;，据说是世界上最长的木桥。林欣想有朝一日一定要去那里看看。另一张叫≈ap;ldo;归山≈ap;rdo;。画面上是一座长长的石头台阶，一直通向被苍松掩映着的深山古寺的大门。一队僧人排成一列，正在拾级而上。那长长的石阶令她想到中山陵的那些台阶。每登一级就离那上面的目标近一点，而最大的快乐也就在登每一级台阶的过程当中。
看完了两个画展，安妮又兴致勃勃地提议去了渋谷。周末的渋谷永远是那么热闹、摩登。在这里没有≈ap;ldo;怪异≈ap;rdo;和≈ap;ldo;抢眼≈ap;rdo;这两个词的容身之地，因为无论什么奇怪特殊的东西到了这里，都会被认为是理所当然。
她们去了一个叫须藤的≈ap;ldo;多栖艺术家≈ap;rdo;的工作室。这位艺术家穿着亮光闪闪的紫色套装和色彩刺目的花衬衫。他的行为艺术就是当场烹调一道饭后甜点---把多得吓人的白糖、黄油、香蕉和牛奶混在一起煮熟后，配上冰淇淋。安妮摇摇头说：≈ap;ldo;真是想出名想疯了！≈ap;rdo;
两个女孩子接着在涉谷的街道上闲逛。在一个三岔路的交汇点，为宣传新款手机电话搭起的舞台上，正在表演着フラメンコ（西班牙弗拉门戈舞）。女演员是典型的西班牙美女，身穿大红的舞衣，舞步热烈奔放，是《巴黎圣母院》里的吉普赛女郎。男演员是个黑发美男子，但神情傲兀。
安妮悄悄指着那男舞者悄悄问林欣：≈ap;ldo;你希望他是你的男朋友吗？≈ap;rdo;
林欣又仔细看了看那张俊美的脸，摇摇头对安妮说：≈ap;ldo;看看还不错。这样的男人只能隔着点距离去欣赏。≈ap;rdo;
安妮笑笑，又悄悄指着那给两位舞者伴奏的吉他手说：≈ap;ldo;我喜欢他的鼻子，很性感！≈ap;rdo;
林欣更喜欢那个伴唱的歌手。他的声音非常有磁性。傍晚时分，已经开始起风了。那歌声在风中有了一些悲凉原始的粗犷韵味。
随着晚风，樱花瓣像雪一样的飘着，整个东京都在樱吹雪里。
