题记：这是一个普普通通的中国女孩子在九十年代末期留学日本时发生的故事。

东京都小平市。
开学后不久，林欣收到了駒場留学生会館寄来的明信片，通知她可以搬过去了。
她忙把这个喜讯告诉安妮，令她吃惊的是安妮竟然高兴得流出了眼泪。这让林欣感动不已。安妮真是个善良的朋友！
当初和房东太太是签了两年同的。如果同没到期就搬家，必须提前一个月通知房东，否则需多付一个月的房租作为赔偿。林欣想了想，还是决定尽早搬离小平，免得夜长梦多。
她给房东太打电话，告诉她自己要搬走了。房东太太在电话那边只淡淡地说了声：≈ap;ldo;是吗？≈ap;rdo;，然后告诉林欣她明天下午过来。
第二天房东太太来的时候，带了一张纸，上面写着林欣需要付的钱数。她很快地点检了房间里的几样家具，没说什么。最后给林欣留了她家的，让林欣以后保持联络。
林欣犹豫再三，还是没有告诉房东太太自己搬到哪里。不是防着她，而是防着中岛。
周五那天在カンカル下了班，她跟店长和岛田说：≈ap;ldo;我要搬到駒場留学生会館去了。以后就不能来カンカル上班了。≈ap;rdo;顿了顿，她很真诚地看着店长和岛田说：≈ap;ldo;長い間お世話になりました（多谢你们这么长时间里对我的照顾）！≈ap;rdo;并深深鞠了一躬。
在大堂柔和的灯光下，店长的脸色却很难看。他看了林欣半晌，只说了一句：≈ap;ldo;那么我们的缘分就从此断了！（縁が切れる）≈ap;rdo;
听店长这么说，林欣又惊又窘，一句话也说不出来。脸慢慢地红了，眼眶发热。
岛田在旁边一言不发，看看店长，又看看林欣。
过后送林欣出门的时候，在门口，岛田对林欣说：≈ap;ldo;一个女孩子在东京一切都要当心！≈ap;rdo;又点点头说：≈ap;ldo;要加油啊（頑張ってね）！≈ap;rdo;
走出几步路，林欣回头，见岛田仍站在原地。见林欣回头，她就挥挥手。林欣也连忙挥了挥手。
一个人走在回家的路上，林欣的眼泪终于落了下来。在她最无助的时候，是店长给了她第一个工作机会。自己刚来的时候，鞋子坏了，店长还给她两千日元去买鞋子。在カンカル工作的这段时间，店长对她一直很好，完全没有把她当一个外国人。桥本刚来店里的时候，他指着林欣对桥本说：这是你的前辈（先輩），不知道的事可以问她。≈ap;rdo;
≈ap;ldo;事情怎么会弄成这个样子呢？自己到底做错了什么呢？≈ap;rdo;林欣又难过，又委屈，想也想不明白，只是觉得对不起店长。
林欣来日本的时候，全部家当就是一只托运箱和一只登机箱。在过去的一年里，也并没有添置什么东西，只是多了些课本和一台电视。她把课本和从国内带来的书都打在托运箱里。雇了一辆赤帽（专门替学生或者行李简单的人搬家的廉价搬家公司，因为车头是红色所以得名），付了一万日元从小平搬到駒場。
赤帽来搬家的大哥是个壮汉，可是林欣的箱子里因为塞进了大量的书，不是一般的重。壮汉试了几次，才勉强提起箱子，侧着身子从窄窄的楼梯一步一停地挪下楼去。末了他气喘吁吁地对林欣说：≈ap;ldo;小姐，你的这个箱子不是人能拿得动的重量！≈ap;rdo;林欣忙红了脸道歉。
打发了赤帽，林欣把重要的东西和换洗的衣服塞进了登机箱，又背了个大背包，最后看了一眼这个住了一年的小房间。她想了想，从包里拿出相机，拍了几张照片。她要记住在日本的。
出了门，对面理发店里的老板在门口的椅子上坐着晒太阳抽烟。见到林欣便高声说：≈ap;ldo;学生，要出去旅行吗？≈ap;rdo;
林欣摇摇头说：≈ap;ldo;不，是搬家。≈ap;rdo;
≈ap;ldo;原来如此（なるほど）！≈ap;rdo;理发店老板点点头：≈ap;ldo;一切可要当心啊！≈ap;rdo;
林欣提着箱子，走过那一大片农田，这大概是最后一次从这里走过了吧。现在田里才刚刚有点绿意。
在街口，又看见了那对卖糯米团子的老夫妇。过去这一年，她来这里买过几次团子。每次都试图和他们聊上两句，就像别的客人一样。但是每次得到的都是老夫妇的冷脸和沉默。
今天也许是最后一次了，林欣对自己说：再试试吧。
