题记：这是一个普普通通的中国女孩子在九十年代末期留学日本时发生的故事。

东京涉谷金瑞瑶中国语学院。
高级会话班刚一结束，金院长就又给了林欣一个初级汉语班。
这个班有三个学生，两男一女。
女的叫内田，是个家庭妇，不太爱说话。
两个男的一个是昌谷，六十多岁，退休前是一家大公司的常务，对其他两位同学颇有些官架子。另一位竹内是个老实巴交的公务员，总是粉红着两腮，像年画上的土地爷。每上一课新课前，他都勤恳地把全部生词背下来。对于林欣在课上补充的新单词，他却一概不理会。
上了几次课之后，林欣好奇地问：≈ap;ldo;竹内，为什么你不记我补充的新词呢？≈ap;rdo;
竹内欠了欠身，慢悠悠地说：≈ap;ldo;我这个人脑子比较笨，学新东西慢。我要先把课本上的每一个词都记牢了，然后再学新词。≈ap;rdo;
竹内在第一次课自我介绍的时候说，他学汉语是为了防止自己得老年痴呆症。
对于竹内给出的理由，昌谷一点都不掩饰他的不屑一顾。昌谷学汉语，据他自己说，是为了圆一个少年时的梦。
≈ap;ldo;我小时候和家人一起在中国东北生活过几年。那时候我父亲在满铁作工程师。我们家当时雇了一个中国姑娘作保姆带我。她是我见过的最漂亮的女人！皮肤特别白，嘴唇特别红，头发又黑又亮。她常常穿一件蓝色的布衫，看起来非常干净。我小时候就发誓，等我长大了一定要娶一个她那样的中国女人作妻子！≈ap;rdo;
林欣听昌谷说完，微笑着问：≈ap;ldo;那么你后来的太太是中国人吗？≈ap;rdo;
昌谷摇摇头：≈ap;ldo;可惜昭和20年（1945年）我们全家都被迫坐船回日本来。后来我只能娶了个日本太太。≈ap;rdo;然后他又调皮地吐吐舌头说：≈ap;ldo;我的太太不好看！≈ap;rdo;
初级汉语班的课是在星期二和星期四的晚上，七点到九点。上了两个星期，一天林欣一进接待室，就正碰上大谷。
≈ap;ldo;林老师，晚上好！≈ap;rdo;大谷很开心地说。
≈ap;ldo;你怎么在这里呢，大谷？≈ap;rdo;林欣很意外，心跳不知怎的也加快了。
≈ap;ldo;我在上文老师的个人课！≈ap;rdo;大谷笑嘻嘻地说。
文老师四十来岁，长得像个唱京戏的花旦，说起话来字正腔圆。文老师的丈夫是公派的公司高管，她闲在家里无聊就出来赚点零花钱。
除了文老师和林欣，这两天的晚上还有另外两位老师在教课。一位是富态的胡老师，上海人，五十多岁。另一位是在念博士班的张老师。
张老师比林欣大几岁，一口的京片子。她和胡老师聊起想吃≈ap;ldo;艾窝窝≈ap;rdo;≈ap;ldo;豌豆黄≈ap;rdo;什么的，把胡老师弄得一头雾水。旁边的日本学生直纳闷：≈ap;ldo;老师，你们不都是中国人吗？≈ap;rdo;林欣也不知道≈ap;ldo;艾窝窝≈ap;rdo;究竟是什么。大家于是感叹，中国比日本可要大多了！南方和北方差别这么大！
每天八点左右，四位老师都会安排十分钟的课间休息。
休息的时候，小小的接待室里总是很热闹，像个要被撑破的盒子。除了一部分学生留在课室里，大部分的学生都站着用日语和自己的老师或是同学闲聊。
接待室靠窗的一角立着一只小柜子，里面放着各色绿茶。课间总有学生去泡了茶给老师。而为人客气的胡老师却常常很谦卑地和学生抢着洗茶杯。
大谷总会走过来和林欣说话。有时候，有其他老师或是林欣班上的学生在和林欣说话，大谷就站在一边微笑着等着。渐渐地，和林欣说话的人越来越多了，大谷只得一直等着。
九点下了课，大谷等着林欣一起走到电车站去。
几次之后胡老师也等着和林欣一起走。
有机会单独和文老师聊天的时候，她告诉林欣：≈ap;ldo;日本人活得真累呀！你看我班上的那个男孩子大谷，总跟我说他觉得活着没有意思！≈ap;rdo;
只有和张老师，林欣比较聊得来，因为两人都是学生。
张老师住在後楽寮，她很热情地邀请林欣有空去玩。
