题记：这是一个普普通通的中国女孩子在九十年代末期留学日本时发生的故事

東京駒場。
大晦日（12月31日）这一天，整个駒場都冷冷清清的。安妮回了美国，意大利的卡拉去了大阪找她的男朋友，连agnieska也和朋友出去了。
早晨接了两个电话。一个是安妮的，她怕林欣一个人过新年冷清。安妮这些地方真是令人感动。林欣告诉安妮：在金学院一起教课的张老师下午来找她，吃了年夜晚，两人晚上去增上寺听新年钟声。
另一个电话竟然是志远的。
从南京回来后，林欣倒是常常收到志远的电邮。不是讲讲他实验室---宿舍两点一线的生活，就是督促林欣gre的学习。
今天志远来电话，林欣多少有点意外。可两人说了两句，就有冷场的危险，于是她开始给志远讲述年前去金畔田小学校做文化交流的事。≈ap;ldo;小学校的设施没有我想象得那么好，不过小孩子们都很活泼可爱！他们在教室的玻璃窗上用彩笔画了好多画---为了欢迎我们---有中国的万里长城，有埃及的金字塔，还有印度的泰姬陵≈ap;hellip;≈ap;hellip;≈ap;rdo;
≈ap;ldo;去了几个人？≈ap;rdo;志远问。
≈ap;ldo;十多个吧。中国、韩国、印度、智利、美国、英国、俄罗斯≈ap;hellip;≈ap;hellip;都是駒場的留学生。对了，我介绍中国的时候，问那些小孩子：中国有什么好吃的呀？你猜有的孩子说什么？≈ap;rdo;
≈ap;ldo;该不是臭豆腐干吧。≈ap;rdo;志远竟然也有幽默的时候。
林欣笑着说≈ap;ldo;不是。是韩国泡菜（キムチ）！≈ap;rdo;
电话那头的志远也笑了。
≈ap;ldo;分组活动的时候，我去包里拿东西。我们组的小孩子还以为有什么好玩的给他们，都围过来伸着脖子等着。结果什么也没有，孩子们脸上那个失望啊！我真觉得对不起他们！下次回国一定要带点玩具回来。≈ap;rdo;
≈ap;ldo;你还打算再去做文化交流吗？≈ap;rdo;志远听起来好像有点意外。
≈ap;ldo;对呀！我觉得挺好玩的！≈ap;rdo;林欣没有告诉志远：那天开场自我介绍，轮到林欣的时候，小孩子都大声喊：かわいい（真可爱！）至少小孩子们是不势利的。也许他们长大了也能记得小时候见过一个可爱的中国姐姐。昌谷不就是念念不忘他的中国保姆吗。
≈ap;ldo;还是等考完g和托吧。你现在已经够忙的了。≈ap;rdo; 志远的话惹得林欣心里暗笑：志远比自己还小几个月，怎么一派做大哥的架势呢。
傍晚张老师来的时候，给林欣带来了後楽寮食堂的肉包子，是正宗的中国肉包子，把林欣乐坏了。日式的包子馅实在是太不好吃了。
张老师是北京人，来日本已经五年了。她在东京学艺大学读日本文学博士，研究芥川龍之介。
两人一边包着饺子，一边闲聊。
≈ap;ldo;林桑，今天怎么没和男朋友一起过呀？≈ap;rdo;张老师大大咧咧地问。
≈ap;ldo;男朋友？在哪呀？≈ap;rdo;林欣困惑地说。
≈ap;ldo;咦，以前不是有一个日本男孩子，下课总是来跟你说话的吗?看着挺不错的呀。≈ap;rdo;张老师笑着说，手里麻利地包着。
林欣红了脸，轻声说：≈ap;ldo;那只是我以前的学生。≈ap;rdo;她忙岔开话题：≈ap;ldo;张桑，你在金学院教了多久了？≈ap;rdo;
≈ap;ldo;两年半了吧。≈ap;rdo;张老师想了想说。
≈ap;ldo;对了， ≈ap;hellip;≈ap;hellip;金院长只有谢老师一个孩子吗?≈ap;rdo;对于谢婉云，林欣一直很好奇。
≈ap;ldo;咦，你没见过金院长的儿子？≈ap;rdo;张老师吃惊地问。
林欣摇摇头。
≈ap;ldo;院长还有个儿子，已经结婚了。在一个什么商工作。这个学校就是院长和谢老师两个人在打理，儿子基本上什么都不管。≈ap;rdo;张老师拿了包好的饺子到煤气灶上去煮。
林欣跟过去问：≈ap;ldo;那院长的老公呢？≈ap;rdo;
张老师摇摇头说：≈ap;ldo;不知道。从来没听她提过。她最近一年忙着给电台录节目，做讲座什么的，学院的事基本上都落在谢老师身上。我觉得谢老师也挺不容易的。整天跟学生在一起，没一点自己的时间。连个男朋友也没有。她也三十多了，别看她打扮得年轻。≈ap;rdo;
吃了饺子，两人收拾了一下出了门。在山手线的车站上，她们看见成群结队的老外。张老师告诉林欣：很多老外会去六本木喝通宵，或是坐山手线绕一周（山手线是环线）。林欣看见两个瘦高个子的金发男人旁若无人地在长吻，觉得浑身汗毛立正。东京，就是这么一座光怪陆离的城市！
赶到增上寺的时候，那里早已被迎新年的人们挤得水泄不通了。寺内大殿（本堂）虽然也灯火通明，但是决不似中国春节庙宇里的张灯结彩。到处是闪光灯，和打着v手势留影的人们，背景是辉煌的东京塔。林欣还从来没见过那么多欢喜的日本人聚在一起。他们脸上的快乐和微笑和迎春节的中国人并没有什么两样。
在一零八下的新年钟声里，林欣迅速地在心里许下1999年的愿望：写好论文，把托和g考好。还有就是，在离开日本之前，多看看这个国家。
